Joel Solomon.

Joel established his love for running at School Cross Country and Athletics at just 10 years old. Along the way, Joel picked up  multiple medals across the years at a State level and has run at the Australian National Championships 3 times thus far.

“I think a major catalyst for my success is I put in hard work and dedication. I put the effort in day-in - day-out and stay committed to my goals which allows me to achieve great things.” - Joel.

Right now, Joel is studying over in the United States as a Collegiate Athlete at Iowa Western and aims to transition into the Half Marathon and road racing alike after graduating. He endeavours to wear the Green and Gold singlet and travel the world representing Australia.

What’s his favourite workout? “Threshold Miles”… America has definitely got a hold on Joel with that sort of terminology.

As any runner, Joel has had his fair share of injuries over his junior years of running. He expressed that it held him back, but staying patient and smart has allowed him to become more consistent and injury free during his running.

“My advice would be to have fun with it. Don’t take it to seriously as a young athlete. Be consistent, however, don’t try and do to much. Learn from older athletes and take their advice onboard.” - Joel Solomon, 2024.
